THE CAT BURGLAR

Sleek and lanky like a cat
From head to foot clad in black
Like a shadowy figure in the night
He sneaks and could give you a fright
With an easy jump over the hedge
He lands on someones flower bed
Like a spider on the wall he sticks
And after some careful clicks
A window opens wide

He hears a noise
Looks for somewhere to hide
Then all is still takes what he wants at will
Opens drawers takes jewellry out
His fingers move swiftly without a sound
Stashes his loot some in his boot
Some in his black sack he carries on his back
Like a shadowy phantom he disappears
Only the black cat pricks up her ears
And wonders who was there
To be even sleeker then her...
