Student Agenda Book:
Parents are requested to carefully read the rules and regulations that are applied at Pierre Elliott Trudeau School.
Dress Code:
The dress code for children from Grades 1-6 is white and blue. Children are to be dressed in the colors of the school every day.
There is no dress code for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students. Shorts, T-Shirts and running shoes are required for physical education classes.
School Hours:
It is extremely important that you teach your children the importance of being on time. Students who arrive late cause
disruptions to the daily routine.
Student Absences:
Please call the school (374-7337) prior to 9:00 am to advise us if your child will be absent.
Answering Service:
If no one answers your call, leave a message on the answering machine; it is on 24 hours a day. Let us know your child's
name, grade level and the length of his/her absence.
Daycare Services:
The Daycare is open 1 hour prior to school opening until 18:00. Ms. Mara Filippone is the person to contact if you want to
register your child (514-374-0554).
Hot Meals:
Children will have the opportunity to pre-order hot meals 3 days a week (Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays). Menus are sent home
once a month. After choices have been made, a cheque made out to "Il Colosseo" along with the form must be placed in a
sealed envelope & returned promptly to school. Microwave ovens are available for reheating food on Mondays & Tuesdays.
Hot meals will begin the week of September 18, 2005. Children must bring a complete, nutritious lunch to school
prior to that day.
Nuts - Nut Products:
As in previous years we are asking for the cooperation of all parents. We have several children who are extremely allergic to peanuts or peanut by products.
Please do not include these in your child's snacks or lunches.
General Assembly:
On Tuesday, September 19, 2006 an assembly to elect our 2006-2007 Governing Board representatives will be held in the
gymnasium at 7:00 p.m. Following this, a form will be circulated for any parent to sign up for our Parent Participation
Organization (PPO).
Parent Participation Organization (P.P.O.):
Every year, we invite parents to volunteer at the school. There are many tasks that volunteers can perform.
We thank all experienced members of the PPO & Governing Board and we eagerly look forward to meeting and welcoming
newcomers to our very active, vibrant committees.
With your help, our teachers & staff will do their best to make this new school year a meaningful and fulfilling
one for your child.
