Penmanship, Handwriting is a vanishing skill

Found this article by Josh Freed in our Montreal Saturday Gazette, and just had to post it. I could have just linked to it, but I fear in a few months time, or even earlier, it may be removed from the Gazette site. So here it is, in its entirety.  Here too is a copy of the [...]

WrongPlanet Asperger’s and the Cheshire Cat

WrongPlanet.net – my birthday is for everyone else. http://www.wrongplanet.net/article350.html
The person making the post, and many of the people commenting, are ranting about not being party animals. Hate to break the news to these guys, but I don’t think it’s exclusively an aspie problem. DSM IV humour

“Will a day come when the race will detect the funniness of these juvenilities and laugh at them–and by laughing at them destroy them? For your race, in its poverty, has unquestionably one really effective weapon–laughter. Power, Money, Persuasion, Supplication, Persecution–these can lift at a colossal humbug,–push it a little– crowd it a little–weaken it [...]

Idiot deficit disorder – Opus and Dr. Medwell

Found these comics a while back in the Montreal Gazette. I love Opus, the satirical weekly comic strip by Berkeley Breathed.  Guess I’m one of his ’imperfect, seriously flawed fans’. Did you know that Berkeley Breathed won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in 1987 with the strip Bloom County? Hope you enjoy
